It's really easy to use the drag-and-drop facility, and the learning curve is also very easy; hence, anybody with non-tech or zero knowledge can also use it. Its features, such as ML-based Document Classification and Metadata Extraction along with No-code application design, are really great followed by Web Forms Builder which is again a game-changer in this category

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

"M-Files is the best ECM I have ever used - I have 10+ years of content/document management experience in the manufacturing industry. M-Files is strongly connected to daily business, because in our implementation metadata comes from our core systems like CRM, ERP and PLM. This master data gives structure and power to document management and later AI adoption in a way traditional folder-based systems can't. Everything in M-Files can be used for building views, searching, or reporting. Search covers both document content and metadata. Modern ways of working like drag&drop of files, annotating, and co-authoring are also present on the platform.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Performance of big, global vaults could be better. The possibility to see more data in views simultaneously would be appreciated. There should be more "typical" metadata templates (especially for the first vault) and common tools like content importer available, because it is possible to identify many common needs across industries and businesses.

Its a powerful ECM, must have for businesses for fast data transfers.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

M-Files is simple to deploy and this ensures that all users are able to use it efficiently without any hiccups at all. Has helped us enhance document security and this enables us protect the crucial files and information of our clients in total confidentiality. M-Files is affordable and not highly priced and this ensures that we are able to acquire it without having huge cost implication on our operating budget.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It has been accurate and we've not had any problems in using the platform efficiently across our organization at all.

M-Files is built to perfection and best in document management and it will make your organization reliable and be able to secure your resources and documents efficiently.

What differentiates M-Files ECM from other similar products?

The ability to view the same document from multiple perspectives whether by Client, by Project, or by Expiration Date without creating duplicates. It eliminates the existence of different versions entirely.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The context over location approach coming from the metadata based architecture helps save a lot of time of searching. Also, the built in integrations are my favorite aspect.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The initial concept of shift from folder based approach to metadata based approach can be a hurdle for change management teams for which adequate time should be allocated while planning.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Don't just treat this as a storage tool. Treat it as a process automation engine. Start with one department (like HR or Finance), setup a comfort level within the company, get internal stakeholders to act as champions of change, and then scale.
